Domain Registration Contract

CMW Consulting will register domains on a customers behalf and manage renewal and billing of these domains using the open shared registry system for all com/net/org domains. The open shared registry system (OpenSRS) we currently use is GKG.net. While for most intents and purposes, our customers will have to have no direct interaction with GKG.net, it is important at least nominally to understand the process of domain registration because all registries are bound by certain rules and regulations that we in turn must enforce.

Each top level domain (TLD) is governed by a different set of policies. We encourage all our customers to familiarize themselves with standard domain agreements, including agreements for TV and UK domains, for which we also offer registration services. Currently, all com/net/org registrars must abide by and enforce the standard Uniform Dispute Resolution Policy mandated by ICANN. By registering a domain name through CMW Consulting, you agree to the policies and domain agreements of the registrar through which the domain is registered.

CMW Consulting will initiate and maintain domain registrations and registrar accounts for our customers in good faith. However, as a customer you must agree to indemnify and hold harmless CMW Consulting for any claims or disputes resulting from a domain registered on a clients behalf. Domains expiring will be renewed will be billed to the customer at the rates specified by our hosting services price list at the time of the domain renewal unless written notice is given at least 30 days prior to domain renewal. This excludes domains not initially registered by CMW Consulting on the customers behalf unless specific manage terms for these domains are agreed upon by both parties in writing.
